3D mural by Leon Keer with Augmented Reality – Fayetteville Arkansas Public Library

‘Gravity of Memory’

Refers to toys as symbols of childhood memories that suddenly become weightless. The physical tower of toy cars becomes weightless through AR, a poetic metaphor for how memories remain suspended in the imagination.

Mural in Fayetteville Arkansas with Augmented Reality by Leon Keer on the wall of @fayettevillepubliclibrary.  Presented by city of @fyvgov. Curation and Production @the_agar_co. Thanks Joost Spek @3dpicnic for working together to create a spectacular 3D animation. Special thanks to Massina @marijespelbos for assist and @clairekkolberg for smooth production.

Leon Keer is a specialist in creating anamorphic street art. The 3d effect caused by this technique is only visible from one viewpoint. The artwork invites spectators to grab their phone and interact with the art.

The Leon Keer app connects Augmented Reality with the anamorphic art. By scanning the painting with your smartphone or tablet, you can see how the painting will come to life.

If you are not on location you can also download an image (https://www.leonkeer.com/ar) and use that as the marker to start the 3d animation.
